In the near future we will face a rapid electric energy transition. All new technologies and systems that will be connected to our electric network will be a challenge to get power quality controlled.

On this lecture day we will give you an update off recent research and coming up (new) Power Quality phenomena’s and the consequences.

We are happy to present leading keynote speakers who will inform you on all these topics.

Please use our free registration for this event. Limited places available.

Impact of 0.1 – 50 kHz EM interference on the accuracy of static electricity meters
10.50 - 11.40

Recent studies have shown that wideband electromagnetic interference (EMI) caused by switching power electronics can have an impact on the accuracy of static electricity meters. In this presentation we provide information on the nature of the EMI signals causing meter error readings and elaborate on the possible causes of these error readings.

Assessment of HF-pollution in distribution grids
11.40 - 12.30

The evolution of power electronic converters have shifted harmonic pollution towards higher frequency ranges. How can these phenomena be captured and how to interpret these measurements ? A feedback is given from numerous case studies based on measurements in the field.

Application of PMU's in distribution grids
13.00 - 13.50

PMU's add to more observability for grid operators in the MV-grid, providing them with live distributed synchrophasor measurements. Integrating this new information into the DNO's operations is not always straightforward. What is the real added value and what can we learn from real-life case studies ?
